My Kids' Birthday Parties

One of these days, i will post my kids' birthday parties.  As I've said, this blog will be containing posts about things i do to make my kids happy and i love painting their town red.

I love celebrating my children's birthdays.  Every year I make sure that they have a party.   For me it's a thanksgiving of their lives.  When they were still in my womb, i got delicate pregnancies.  And seeing them grow each year makes me think that I'm so much blessed that the three of them were safely born and another year has been added to their lives.  I continue to pray that they will grow up healthy and always protected and that they may live until they have their own grandchildren, LOL!  No, kidding aside, i really pray that. 

Each time I give them parties, it makes me happy too.  Because nothing compares for a mom like me to see her children with the glow in their eyes and the sweetest smiles on their faces while saying, "Mama, thank you!" 

Just thinking of those birthday parties makes me laugh coz most of it got a lot of criticisms and issues from different people ;p

Freddie Prinze Jr., My Prince ;P

As I’ve said on my previous entries, I love beautiful things.  That includes beautiful people.  And Freddie Prinze Jr. is a very beautiful person. Actually, a very handsome person.  Oh I really love him. He’s so adorable.   I watched all of his movies.

I first saw him at She’s All That.  That was in 1999. I fell in love with him on an instant.  Then I watched I know What You Did Last Summer, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and Wing Commander on VCD.  After that, I religiously watched every movies of him shown at SM Centerpoint – Down To You, Boys and Girls, Head Over Heels and Summer Catch.

 

In 2001, I graduated from college and then got to watch the movie Scooby Doo with my then boyfriend Mark ;p  When we got married, I still watched the sequel of Scooby Doo with my husband.

 

Even with 2 kids, I never missed the sitcom Freddie.  But when it ended, I never got the chance to see him again on screen.  I heard he got 2 kids with his wife Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).  Would you believe, when they got married in 2002, it broke my heart.  Call me crazy, but I really got starstucked. 

Oh well, that’s life.  But then, I have to be proud coz I have my own Freddie Prinze Jr. (wink, wink)

Red in Love

Just having to see this site's title - Paint the Town Red, you would already know that I love the color red.  Not everyone love the color red.  But me?  Oh my!  I'm crazy about red.  Some people think i'm OA because when I was still working, all the things in my working table are red.  From the stapler to the scotch tape dispenser to the filer to the cushion on my chair.  Check out my cabinet and all my blouses and shirts are red.  Even if i gained weight i still can't let go all of them.

Why do i love the color red?  I don't know!  It just have been an eye candy for me.  Maybe because it reflects my personality.

Red people can be very impatient and easy to anger.  Impatient, that's very me.  I'm always in a hurry, and do everything at a time but tend to have short attention span.  If I get bored or tired, i move on to the next best thing. :0  Another negative trait I got that describes a red lover, is being ill-tempered.  I admit I often flare up on an instance but the good thing is I calm down quite quickly once i get it out of my system and then forget it ever happened.  I do not hold a grudge.  Ganun ako!  People close to me know that very well. 

Red conveys strength, health and vitality.  A person who likes red is outgoing, enthusiastic, confident, and courageous.  That's very me, except for the confident part! ;p Maybe because sometimes, i still think of my physical defect.  Not that it bothers me that much.  But there are times that I encounter people who laughs at me and it turns down my confidence.  Outgoing and enthusiastic because i love attending parties (especially if it's a children's party), school field trips, etc. basta concerning my kids' activities.  

Lovers of red are lovers of beautiful things.  Love to love people who loves them back.   I love my parents, my siblings, my friends, my children, I love my husband.  That's it!  I am Red In Love!

Why "Paint the Town Red"?

I created this because this will be a place for me to share how i spend my life as how the title "Paint the Town Red" means - going out and having a good time with my family especially my children.  I want to give all three of them what's best for them and everything that will make them happy.  

In this site you will read things i love, my weekly dates with my kids, things i do to make them happy and many more.  



And then you'll see, I am a mother of 3, a wife to a kind-hearted man, a lover of love and beautiful things, a head-turner (kapal!), a frustrated lawyer, a girl who could dance all day (well that's before i gained weight), a fun-loving but serious person, a lion when triggered, a true friend, a crazy sister and a good daughter (yecks!) and most of all i'm a pretty mommy bwahahaha.
